Born in Latvia and raised in Toronto, Diana has a diverse international background, and has devoted most of her life to her studies, travelling, and volunteering.
She fell in love with nature during her time surrounded by beautiful landscapes in a small town in Sweden, particularly the water where she had the chance to explore the archipelagos and take a cruise along the Baltic Sea while on academic exchange.
Growing up, she extensively volunteered with the Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA), from leading informative workshops to assisting at the popular annual event Paddle the Don. During her time as a political science student at the University of Toronto, she held an administrative position at a silicone plant, Siltech Corporation, and spent the rest of her time as an active member in the Debating Club, Environmental Club, and Model North American United Nations, along with volunteering at non-profit organizations including NATO Canada.
Outside of the office, Diana holds the position of Finance Officer and is one of the founding members of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Ontario, she is also on the executive committee of the UofT Political Science Alumni Association. Additionally, she is an avid biker, hiker, and artist.
