This past June, Oceana Canada released the most comprehensive public study ever conducted on the state of Canada’s marine fish. The results revealed that less than a quarter of Canada’s fish stocks are considered healthy, and the status of almost half is unknown. To address these troubling findings, Oceana Canada is convening leading Canadian and international experts in science, management, policy, law, social equity, economics and Indigenous knowledge systems to identify how we can create a sustainable future for Canada’s fish and fisheries.

On October 26, 2016, be at the forefront of charting a bold course to rebuild Canada’s fisheries by taking part in Oceana Canada’s science symposium, Rebuilding Abundance: Restoring Canada’s Fisheries for Long-Term Prosperity. Meet the experts, view the program and register today, at no cost, to guarantee your spot.  The symposium will feature engaging discussions from renowned global fisheries experts
